Mountain Valley Guides LLC is once again offering an amazing kayaking opportunity for summer camps and youth groups. A three hour kayaking experience on the Hudson River for only $25 per camper, staff go free! Minimum age is 9 and maximum group size is 50. Our guides have years of experience on the river and leading youth groups. All of our head guides are either teachers, recreation professionals or coaches. The guides are certified in Wilderness First Aid, Lifeguard Training, and CPR. Mountain Valley Guides provides all the gear, kayak and instruction. There are no additional fees. Hastings - on- Hudson This 4-day kids program is designed around the sport of flatwater kayaking. Each day we will review and progress kayaking skills, focusing on "river safety" and using fun and interactive games to develop paddling skills and confidence. Campers will learn basic paddling strokes, trip planning, river reading, assisted and self rescues. It is our goal in this program, to encourage each child to continue playing in the outdoors and develop an appreciation of the Hudson River and its resources. The course is lead by Licensed NYS Guides and ACA Kayak Instructors. Reserve your spot now as these camps are sure to sell out! Campers must be be 10-14 years of age.
